When we began work on this self-build in Marlborough, our aim was to create a home that carried the elegance of Georgian architecture while offering the light, flow, and comfort expected of a modern family home. From the outset, we worked closely with the clients to refine every detail, balancing their vision with our design expertise.
The exterior draws on classic Georgian proportions, with symmetrical red brickwork, sash windows, and stone detailing that give the house a timeless, confident presence. Yet, once inside, the spaces open up in a more contemporary way — with an expansive open-plan kitchen and living area designed for both family life and entertaining. Large glazed doors at the rear create a strong connection to the garden, flooding the interiors with natural light and extending the living spaces outdoors.
Throughout the process, we paid close attention to craftsmanship and materials: bespoke joinery, natural finishes, and considered detailing that elevate the sense of quality in every room. The result is a house that feels both grand and welcoming — a luxurious retreat that blends heritage with modernity, and a project that was as rewarding to design as it is to live in.
