When we first set eyes on this Wiltshire country house, we knew it had so much potential — but it needed a new lease of life. The old farmhouse had plenty of character, yet it lacked the flow, light and space for modern living. That’s where our journey began.
Our goal was to honour the cottage’s heritage while creating a warm, open space that connects seamlessly with the garden and countryside views. We added a timber-clad extension, carefully designed to feel both contemporary and natural — sitting alongside the red brick as though it had always been there.
Inside, we opened everything up, flooding the heart of the home with light. The new living space flows out into the garden through wide sliding doors, perfect for long summer evenings. Every choice was about blending comfort, tradition and practicality — from the handmade joinery to the timeless finishes.
